The Sonoma County Beekeepers Association (SCBA) values the privacy of our members and visitors. SCBA only collects information to help us better serve our members and the public. It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that is knowingly provided to us. We do not share personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection of information from this website that can personally identify you and/or your business, and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

Through SCBA's member database, SCBA collects and stores contact information from individuals as it is knowingly provided to us by new members, event registrants and donors. SCBA does not distribute personal information or email addresses to third parties. We use this information to contact individuals via email with additional resources that might be of interest, including upcoming association-wide and cluster-specific events, the monthly Extractor newsletter and member updates.. You may choose at any time not to provide personally identifiable information, although this may restrict our ability to provide requested services or information.

The following are examples of personally identifiable information that you may volunteer to provide and examples of how we use such information.

• Email Addresses - SCBA collects email addresses from those that create Member accounts. SCBA may use your email address to send you emails from SCBA, including event announcements, monthly newsletters or member updates. To unsubscribe from event announcements or newsletter, administrative and member updates or all SCBA emails, login to your SCBA account, click on the profile link under the blue login icon and then click on the Email settings link to adjust your email preferences. SCBA does not distribute email addresses to third parties.

• Mailing Addresses - SCBA collects mailing addresses from Members. Donors have the option to provide a mailing address. 

• Cookies - Many websites, including this one, use cookies, pieces of numeric data stored on your computer so that we can identify when you return to our website. SCBA can only "read" cookies that are placed on your computer from our own website. Usage of cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information. You can select to disable cookies by changing your browser settings. If you choose to disable cookies in your browser, you will be unable to access portions of our website content.

SCBA makes organizational contact information available to members only through our online Volunteer Staff Position Directory. These lists are limited to volunteer position title and its associated SCBA email address and volunteer name.

Member addresses for the location of events are shared only to those other members that accept invitations.

Email addresses, phone and fax numbers are not made available to third parties. SCBA does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and donors. When members and donors choose to pay by credit card, SCBA submits this information directly to a secure credit card processor.

SCBA does not make member information available to third parties with the exception of Wild Apricot, our member services platform provider. Please click either of these two links to read about Wild Apricot’s Privacy Policy and Security and Data Protection policies for their clients.

SCBA collects knowingly provided additional business related information from Business members when they register. This includes business name, owner, mailing and business addresses, email, website URL, and business description. SCBA does not share business member information with 3rd parties.

Refund Policy - Membership Dues

Less than 30 days: full refund

31 days (1 month) – 89 days (under 3 months) : 75% refund

3-6 months: 50% refund

After 6 months no refund.
