Marin Coastal Bee Co.

Marin Coastal Bee Co. provides beekeeping services and premium quality honey for Sonoma and Marin County.  Honey bee, yellow jacket and wasp removal services, as well as hive management and hive care consulting, are available year around.

In addition to hive removal services, Marin Coastal Bee Co. can provide custom decorative hives, swarm capture, honey extracting, bottling and regular hive maintenance visits.

Unique varieties of honey are sold at many local retail establishments in both Marin and Sonoma County with an emphasis on informing the customer “where their honey comes from.”  Maps of each apiary’s forage area are available in an article titled “Why Our Honey Is Different” @ www.marincoastalbee.com .

Quality Beehive Equipment at Affordable Prices

Our beehive equipment is built from the designs created by Serge Labesque. Our Langstroth hive boxes are premium boxes, without knots, all holes countersunk, and screwed together with screws dipped in glue. Vented top covers, top feeders, and follower boards are made with pine tongue and groove providing a rough surface to encourage the bees to propolize the surface. This helps to create an anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-bacterial environment much like the inter surface of a tree created by the bees in nature. We provide tightly wired frames, with starter strips. Our screened bottom boards have a sliding opening, and come with a mouse guard, an observation board, and a hive awning to shade the entrance on hot days.

Please call for more information, or just to talk about bees!
