Due to short days and the potential for bad weather, SCBA's January and February general meetings will on ZOOM. Grab your dinner, and join in your jammies in the comfort of your own home. 

Guest Speaker: Michael Bush, Practical Beekeeper.

Michael Bush is the author of Practical Beekeeper, Beekeeping Naturally and has been beekeeping for over 50 years, in Southern Nebraska. He experiments with techniques to improve hive health and reduce labor. His approach emphasizes understanding bee behavior, helping colonies thrive naturally, and managing hives with practical, low-stress methods

Bush is a leading proponent of treatment-free beekeeping, advocating for sustainable practices that avoid chemical interventions for pests and diseases  He encourages beekeepers to observe what bees are trying to accomplish and assist them rather than imposing unnecessary control. His philosophy includes space management, minimal interference, and fostering colony resilience

We have selected 4 potential topics for Michael Bush to present. Members can vote for their choice and the Board will decide in December.
