Dr Gordon Frankie, PhD, is the managing director at university of Berkeley and a professor of Environmental Science, Policy and Management

He is passionate about nature's most prolific pollinators – the bees. He has created pollinator habitats that attract California’s native bees and has dedicated years to studying them.

He will be talking to us about our local native bees, what we can do to help them survive, and creating diverse habitat where they can thrive.

Reading the monitor board and analyzing the debris.  By now most people  have received a swarm, or installed a package, and the colony is either carried over from the previous year or working on getting established in their new home.  What is the monitor board telling them?
