Robbing and Collapsing Colonies with Christine Kurtz

Monday September 8, 4:30 - 5:30

Location: Druid Hall - 1011 College Ave

Join us before our monthly General Meeting for our educational series with Christine Kurtz, with new topic every month.

As summer comes to an end and we start entering fall, the dearth begins, flowers are receding and there is less pollen and nectar available for the pollinators. This is also when the bees that were used for pollinating crops are brought back to Sonoma County. What does this mean for the local bees?

Often what happens is that strong colonies will start robbing the weaker colonies. This is when we start seeing colonies collapsing.

Join us and learn more about and Robbing and Collapsing Colonies and what you can do to help the hives in your apiary stay strong and make it through these few months.
