Carla Ramey, Ramey Vineyards LLC/Westside Farms
Ramey Vineyards, also known as Westside Farms, is located at 7097 Westside Road, Healdsburg. Originally part of a Spanish Land Grant and in agriculture for over 100 years, our property is comprised of 75 acres, 42 of which are planted in grape vines. We purchased the property in 2012 and retained Agustin Carrasco, who has been the custodian of the farm for over two decades. At that time he began beekeeping, working under the guidance of Chris Conrad of Bee Conscious. After three years of caring for our colonies captured on or near our farm, he was able to collect 5 gallons of honey in October of 2015.

You will recognize this as a "Client-Centered" concept which by itself is not unique, yet its application to real estate is certainly rare."

Heritage Beehives’ flagship hive is called the Heritage Hive. The Heritage Hive has only a few components: the hive body, horizontal with angled sides, 20 or so top bars that the bees build their comb on, and a cover. Heritage Hives are pre-built using only cypress, an outdoor wood with long-lasting properties. Each hive is completely assembled with stainless steel screws, sanded on the outside and ready for a colony of bees. Heritage Hives look great in a garden, on a porch or on a deck!
Using a Heritage Hive focuses less on production and more on just enjoying the bees for their own sake. Even with just one Heritage Hive, the beekeeper will still have more than enough honey for family and friends.
The Heritage Hive is accessible to the average homeowner and is healthier for the bees. They have been designed to not only help keep honeybee colonies strong, but to make it easy for anyone with even a small amount of space to get started in the amazing hobby of beekeeping.

Jordan Vineyard & Winery
A sustainable farm like Jordan Estate is home not only to grapevines and olive trees, but also cows, chickens and honeybees. Jordan Estate Honey is a staple in the winery kitchen, finding its way into Tours & Tastings menus and other recipes.
Situated across from the Jordan garden, our apiary is home to thousands of honeybees that find endless food sources across Jordan Estate. Created in 2016, the Jordan apiary is home to seven beehives and a carefully designed bee flower garden. Flow Hives and traditional Langstroth hives are included, allowing our chef to evaluate colony health, bee productivity and honey flavor differences between the two types of hives.

Quality Beehive Equipment at Affordable Prices
Our beehive equipment is built from the designs created by Serge Labasque. Our Langstroff hive boxes are premium boxes, without knots, all holes countersunk, and screwed together with screws dipped in glue. Vented top covers, top feeders, and follower boards are made with pine tongue and groove providing a rough surface to encourage the bees to propolize the surface. This helps to create an anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-bacterial environment much like the inter surface of a tree created by the bees in nature. We provide tightly wired frames, with starter strips. Our screened bottom boards have a sliding opening, and come with a mouse guard, an observation board, and a hive awning to shade the entrance on hot days.
Please call for more information, or just to talk about bees!
